- , ketchup, mayo, mustard
- Olive oil for grilling
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, blue cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper
Mix the ingredients together until well combined, but be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough
Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and form them into thin patties
Place a spoonful of additional blue cheese in the center of 4 of the patties
Top each of the blue cheese-topped patties with one of the plain patties and seal the edges, making sure the blue cheese is completely enclosed within the burgers
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates with olive oil
Grill the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer if desired, depending on your preferred doneness
While the burgers are grilling, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes or until they are lightly browned
Once the burgers are cooked to your liking and the buns are toasted, assemble your burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices on the bottom bun
Add the cooked black and blue burgers on top of the vegetables, then drizzle with your favorite burger condiments
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately
Enjoy your delicious Black and Blue Stuffed Burgers!
