Crab Rangoon
Crab Rangoon is a classic appetizer originating from Southeast Asian cuisine. These crispy fried wontons filled with a creamy mixture of crab meat, cream cheese, and spices are sure to be a hit at any gathering.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup crab meat, chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
Put cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, and ground ginger into a bowl
Mix everything together well
In the middle of each wonton wrapper, put a small amount of the filling
Use water to wet the edges of the wrapper, then fold it over to make a triangle
Close it up by pressing the edges together
Fry or heat oil in a deep pan until it reaches 350F 175C
Fry the crab Rangoon in small groups until each side is golden brown, about two to three minutes per side
Take it out of the oil and let it drain on paper towels
Warm it up and serve it with sweet and sour sauce or any other glaze you like
